I read a manga a while ago about a young girl who was a genuis and invented things for an organization or something. i know it is very vague but that is all I can recall. Also I believe there was romance involved.

Wellll....the only thing coming to my mind is Gakuen Alice but it's probably not it, since the genius chick is only the main characters best friend...
