It will still go on. If not with OM then with some other site. What are they gonna do about it if the server for the site is located in a different country? I mean look at how easy it is to get stuff that's truly popular world wide like music and movies. They cant do anything about those so what can they do about comic books?

move over to mangafox then... They have servers in different parts of the world if I am not mistaken. Transfer files and then domain, they are untouchable. If I recall they have servers in the US, China, and India. Also, all the top staff in MF are in China.

What about 1000manga.com , onemanga's counterpart for "inappropriate" content? Just checked it and there is no notice of the sort

Theres a possibility. But MangaFox is known not to go down without a fight. Especially the Chinese guys who run it are hiding behind China and the fact that the Chinese government has more important things to worry about. Right now, mangafox is just trying to cooperate with the publishers peacefully. During every C&D, they manage to somehow take series down then put them right back up. They've also been known to meet with publishers to discuss the take downs.

They may go down, but what do you think will happen when the 5 million people between mangafox, mangatoshokan, mangahelpers, and onemanga will do when they cannot find a place to read latest chapters? and by latest, i mean as they come out in japan...

Yes, I've been on MF quite a few times, and many of the times it does give me a virus. I've stopped using it because of that, although I do have an antivirus.

It is a sad day today ijust read the announcement on OM and thoughts it was a prank or something seeing as to me not seeing anything about it on MU and now that i came checking me fears got comfirmed 😢

Just visited the site and no viruse or trojan alerts from Kaspersky... Could be an ad from the site however ( had those on a few sites) If you're using mozilla I'd suggest you install the adblock plus add-on and then give it a try. Also on the little box message that appears from Kaspersky , or on it's reports page , you can see the link of the detected virus. You could post it here , so that we'll see if it's due to mangafox site or something else
