Im trying to upload some pictures I scanned onto photobucket

But it doesnt take the file type?

And when I tried changing it, it wouldnt change....!

To start things off,
What's the file type?
Also, what's the image mode? grayscale/index/rgb/etc?
If it's in index mode, then you lose some options when you try to save it.

Just some things off the top of my head, it helps to have a bit more info too.

Scanners usually save images as jpgs ( by default, if no one has changed it ).

Sometimes it's not about the file type, but the size ( with the same error notification ).

You can't change file type without editing the image. It's easy, you open the image in some graphic browser ( Irfan View, ACDsee etc ) and choose "save as". Then you simply choose the type and saving location.

Give us the file type and size, please.
