I like that Kishimoto didn't forget about the Eight Celestial Gates, or that Ningame summon. It even does a bit of lampshade hanging by telling Gai "You haven't summoned me in years and you finally decide to do it in midair?!" 🤣

And I noticed something: When Gai opened the 6th gate, he used Morning Peacock. Now in his 7th gate, he uses Afternoon Tiger. If he uses the 8th gate, you think it'll be Evening/Night Dragon?

I'm kinda let down that it's yet ANOTHER Guy/Kisame battle, though hopefully Kisame gets his ass handed to him this time and finally DIES. 🤢

Rare to see the adults having a cool fight in this manga without a middle schooler showing up to save them. Let's hope it stays that way and Gai finishes this thing off before sprained ankle Naruto shows up.

Well, in either case, Gai's certainly put up a more impressive show than Kakashi did against the half-dead Sasuke. (The mid-air summons was hardcore.)

I think it's about time that he play his part in the manga, and imo it's only natural that he finally settle the score with Kisame after their brief encounter in the sand arc 😎 .

Honestly i hope the fight wouldn't be rush like how i feel the way it did. I'd prefer them to show each other moves or trump card as is often the case in shonen manga 😲 . Well i hope Gai would be able to finish him off indefinitely(though i'm pretty sure he would eventually be resurrected by some slimy conniving someone) 🙄
