Hm, it depends on the situation. I don't use any Japanese terms in a "normal" German conversation as nobody would understand what I say.

But I use them either as jokes or as "correct manga terminology" when I chat with other fans. I think that's quite normal when you're in a fan-talk, especially with fans from different languages - the Japanese terms is what everyone knows, ne?
Terms like "kawaii" or "baka" are seen as jokes by me so I don't use them as replacements when I'm really serious (e.g. in a fight or an serious blog article). As for terminology, I say Shoujo and not "Japanese Girls Comics", simply because it's easier and within the common knowledge of every western manga fan.

Also, I often use Japanese terms after some intensive Japanese study hours. Same with English, when I was at English webpages or chats all day than it can happen that I suddenly mix English words into my reallife talk by accident. When i chat parallel with German and English friends, than it can even happen that I answer to both in the wrong language.

That's also normal when you're active in several languages at the same time and nothing to be ashamed off... though, my kids look a little confused when I unconstitutionally mix up the language while scolding them. I said "Hurry up ins Bett!" (Hurry up into bed) just last week after finishing an essay in English >.>;

I know a few people at school that do it, and I honestly think it's the most retarded thing you could ever do. It's the same thing with some of my friends: We'll be speaking in English but when one of us doesn't feel like speaking in English anymore, they'll automatically switch to a mix of English/Spanish, English/French, or English/Italian. It just sounds stupid. Stick to one language, please.

Lunch Lady: Would you like a cheese sandwich?
Me: No, I can't eat cheese; I'm lactose-intolerant.
Lunch Lady: Oh, then would you like some milk?
Me: .....no?

I used to do that in my weebo days.
Now I find using a few random words (the only ones you know) all the time in your day-to-day sentences is retarded.

I do mix English and my language though, but that's only because I know both languages perfectly, and sometimes English has a phrase that expresses my thoughts much better.

I hate when people do it. Though my girlfriend did the opposite, and I found so cute, I can't understand why.

I say a few sometimes when I'm talking to my brother, he'd know what I mean.
I also don't say it a lot online, unless it's the simple words 'kawaii' or 'baka'.
If I said it in RL to my friends they'd just something like "What the heck?", "What the hell?", "What...?", or "What the f*ck?". Yeah, and then after that it'd make me feel like a dork.
Because I hardly do, I answered no since it seemed liked the closest thing, other then yes meaning I do it all the time.

Occasionally I will answer questions entirely in Japanese without thinking, so if that counts then "yes". Generally speaking, I try not to intermix languages unless I'm trying to explain a concept I don't have the vocabulary to describe.

Well, I don't use Japanese, but I intermix the three languages that I know, just because. My friends will tell me that I break out into French randomly, I speak "Chinglish" in addition to Chinese and English, so I speak Fringese. Yeah, that's a good name for it.

I am much more likely to use French, which I've studied for 4 years, than Japanese. I will use what little Japanese I know in conversations with my daughter who does the same. I don't do it in public because I don't want to look like a poseur. It is interesting that it appears that the Japanese do the same with English, mixing it in to their Japanese sentences.

the only japanese I would use would be words that don't have a direct translation into english. Even then I wouldn't use it unless the situation called for it. Only had to whip it out once.

Sarcasm just doesn't work over the internet.

Not really. The only thing I do is that I call my sister "Oneechan" (I've been doing it for years), because I think it's cute and my sister likes it a lot better than any other nick I'd ever given her.
