Romance is a joke

I consider romance to be a "slice of life". Real romance should not be dramatic, drama is perpetually fueled by infatuation and lust that just leads to problems caused by either members of the relationship or the unnecessary immature outsiders that all of whom believe in the pseudo-love found commonly in High School. Real Romance can be funny, but all life has it's hilarious moments but in no way does compute to a comedy: Romance should simply flow, it has to forced how happy can it be?

I see what you're saying, but sometimes if you leave a romance be it begins to stagnate, which turns into apathy. After all, the most important part of any healthy relationship is spending time together, so sometimes you've got to make a little effort.
I like what you're saying about what makes up romance. Infatuation and drama are the basis for a soap opera, not for a real relationship.

freaking. back button. WTF.
well long story short, love is a project and all participating members need to work at it, or it will fail.
4 hour convos occuring daily with nothing interesting to talk about is a horrid experience. 😔

now thats comedy.
oh, and you're working too hard. I'd be pissed if I had to keep talking to anyone for four hours. Back in high school, I sat next to the same girl in 5 of my classes, and I swear I had the same conversation at least twice a day with her. Sometimes she even mentioned something I told her before as though someone else told it to her. It was really funny...
So yeah, romance is comedy (despite the fact talking to whuzerface was in no way romantic).

Comedy/shoujo for me, especially when I was younger. I didn't even read shoujo manga then, and it follows that pattern.
Late bloomer (compared to people I hang out with) suddenly got a confession from a cute guy in another class that I've never talked to, rumors, love triangles and whatnot... blah, blah, blah.
Really cliché, it's sort of embarrassing when I think about it >_>

real life romace gives me a headache... highscool gossip, cheating, catfights, rumor-spreaders, obsessive girlfriends, and lovey dovey couples all mashed into a very small patch of earth. i'd have to go with drama over comedy, although two of the above i know of are just hilarious...
one of the obsessive girlfriend cases above went all complicated and stuff and it ended up in me getting a voicemail from the guy's girlfriend saying she didnt want me "texting, talking to, or coming anywhere near" her boyfriend, or she would "f**ing kill you, you sltty ***re." i definitely saved that one. :] and he and i are acquaintces, not even friends... very funny, no?

TRAGEDY.
tragedy,tragedy,tragedy,tragedy,tragedy,tragedy,TRAGEDY.
in no time feelings and personalities change and both sides turn into characters from a horror movie and try to kill eachother.

I think it depends whose eyes the romance is being viewed from as well as the state of the relationship (if there is one). From a spectator's point of view it can be comedic while those actually engaged in the romance might find it something else.

comedy because you can be silly things just to be romantic^^
gossip time: there is this guy who is madly in love with a girl and they are dating. one day they decide to meet but girls' phone battery dies.. but they promised to meet before, so girl went to the meeting spot expecting to see him but instead she found me there 🙂 because roads were closed to the treaffic that day so he told me that "i can't go to the meeting you go meet her lets meet at X" when we went to the X we found him waiting for us wet from the rain (the weather was really bad that day) he had walked for about 8km to reach the X, silly boy, then he got really sick,
For me it's comedy at first...All those heart flutters, "he loves-he loves me not", awkward moments due to that getting-to-know-you part, etc...It's all fun.
Then after some time it turned to drama especially during the last part 🤢 I've never liked dramas,so no more dramas for now, thank you.

Well, interpersonal romantic relationships are one of the few things of which I have a positive view.
So I would say comedy in the classical sense.
