I was just wondering if anyone uses the zune of any variation as an alternative to an Ipod besides me. I mean like 2 of my friends have them and the rest have Ipods so who else uses the zune and what do you think of it?

I don't have either, i just use the mp3 in my phone, but some of my friends have had them and Ipods and they say they prefer the zune.

I own a 30 GB one and I love it alot more then any ipod. hold so much and its really reliable. Bring it with me nearly everywere. awesome watching FLCL on it and the FMA movie anywere i want to.

I have zune and I really like it. I don't really know ipod (except for the shuffle) so I don't have much to say about it. I did play around with my sis's ipod for a bit but not much to it (besides listening to music and watching videos). What I really like about Zune is that I can customize the background and I can play games on it as well. I can also access the music store with it (with wireless connection). Music is fine and the videos are great. Controls are easier than ipod (I hated using the ipod's controls when I played with my sis's ipod). Although, I wished there was an easier way in turning off my zune.

What I didn't like is the zune software. You need it if you want to charge Zune using your computer and for putting music from your computer to your zune. What I didn't like is that you have to be online to get it installed in your computer and that it requires your windows update application up to date. You can't use your zune without the software. I remember my sister (who is an Apple fanatic) was able to charge her ipod using my laptop (which runs Windows).

I have a 30 GB and love it. People make fun of it for it's brick-like body, but I don't really give a crap because that just means its sturdy(which is good for a person like me who drops everything all the time). The Zune is a better version of an Ipod NOT and Ipod Touch. It pisses me off when people do that >_>.

AND the Zune software beats iTunes by a million miles.

No, you don't. Just plug it into any computer and it chargers. I do that all the time when I'm charging my Zune into my mom's MacBook.

Have an Ipod and totally hate the damn thing.
Okay, maybe not the thing itself, but I absolutely detest the system of transferring music to it. Its a pain in the ass when my music library is twice as large as the storage capacity.
So I might consider buying a zune in the future, if the transfer system isn't as messed up.
All in all, I like my Oakley Thump the best though 😎
only downside is the low storage capacity.
