Happens to me a lot, especially late at night or on the weekend when I'm either drunk or suffering from insomnia. As a failsafe, I usually stop myself from posting if I only have half a sentence to say or I've written so much that my eyes/head hurt trying to look it over for errors. 🤢

(Like the above, for example, has no input to the topic whatsoever, but nonetheless I posted it.)

If you think about it, a lot of people post useless posts anyway.
That, my friend, is called spam. 🙂

About half my potential posts end up unposted, primarily because I can't find a way of wording them that I like, and secondarily because I get half way through them and decide what I had to say was stupid and/or unnecessary.

I'm surprised to see that so many of you are holding back.
I've always figured, "It's the internet. Ultimate anonymity." If you have something to say, just throw it out there.

A lot of threads get boring pretty quick without the random posts and chatter, so think of it as helping the conversation flow better.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have any problem with saying anything I feel like, it's just that usually when I cancel a post it's because I feel as if I'm saying nothing at all.

I think it happened once...
When I was wirting, I got that it was off topic and I didn't want to post to that thread.. so I stopped and deleted~.~

I type something that's like a paragraph long then read it over about 5 times to check for typos then i either cancel it or cut it down to a sentence.

Ugh.. i really have to get out of this habit.
