I do this all the time. Usually what I don't like the way I'm wording things and can't find a better way to word it so I just give up or reread it and find that it makes absolutely no sense.

Usually I post something and regret it later.
But then I can't delete it if someone has quoted it because that's like pretending I didn't say it ever when I did.
Not to mention we can't really 'delete' our messages we can just edit them.

I do this so often... I'll type out my post, realize it either doesn't make sense or I simply don't like it, and just quit.

Quote from MasamiAkane

I did about 6 times just today. I always get to thinking, "like anyone cares about my suggestion or opinion" or "why even bother..."

I think the exact same things... I just say "screw it" and erase it all.

I usually don't even get to the part where I start writing.

I tell myself that I don't have anything worthwhile to say before I even start to reply. Out of the ones I actually do get to the submission part of the reply, I still stop writing a portion of those. XD

Month bump _____
I take back what I said previously about not canceling much.
After being aware of it, I'm a frequent canceler. XD

I just recently canceled this tl;dr post countering this stupid guy on the forums. 🙄

I was going to reply to this thread saying that it's been happening a lot recently, then I cancelled the post...

I thought I should mention this and post anyway due to the sheer irony of the situation 🤣

I delete a lot of my reviews since they often turn out to be the opposite of what I try to say 🤣 Also I'm not really confident in my English.

the key is.. don't hesitate. if you really want to make a post.. don't hesitate.

by the way, do you mean stop writing a post altogether or just rewriting a post? I guess 'stop' should be good enough an answer. I usually only cancel posts when I finish writing the entire thing, but they are often not a wall of text, and it's probably only 1/30 or so that I decide to not post once I do.

I think a long while ago I was going to reply to this thread, but then cancelled it...xD
It happens a lot to me, mainly because of my mom sitting behind my 24/7 🤢

Well I'm new here... but I in other places I cancel most of my messages.
Mostly because it seems I'm not writing anything new. And I don't wanna just repeat what others have said before me >.< And sometimes I just don't know how to say what I'm thinking XD

I choose "infrequently" at least when it comes to this site, there is another site that I can think of, inwhich I happen to cancel my posts more often than not at TS.com (I'll leave what it stands for up to your imagination), the one post that I can remember on here - is a religion/whatever thread, I was having a debate with someone (I don't remember their screenname, and I'm too lazy to look XD), anyways, she replied back and I didn't notice it -- for awhile, and I figured it wasn't worth it because the thread practically died and I didn't want to necro it, I did have an answer, though.
Besides I had a feeling if I did reply, the debate would go on forever, and while, I like to debate every once in awhile, they tend to get out of hand most of the time, which makes them,...not as much fun, but I digress.

I'll also cancel posts if I happen to notice there is another thread/or post which is practically identical (This happens at TS.com, a lot, I got so annoyed with all the copy threads, that I made master lists XD).
