Hi, the thread Sakuya made was locked, so I had to create a new one to say this.

I agree and think it would be awesome if web comics were available as a type. Right now they're usually under manhwa, but it would be nice to have a way to differentiate and easily be able to search for them. I know there's technically a tag for web comics, but intuitively it should be a type instead. You wouldn't make manga a tag, would you? Plus tags have some disadvantages, like not every web comic necessarily has a web comic tag.

We toyed with this idea but decided against it because the origins of a web comic can come from anywhere, so it doesn't accurately depict anything. A Korean web comic vs a Chinese web comic would all have a type of web comic, which doesn't help anybody
