hello^^

hi hi 🙂

i have a Question for you.. a little something i have been wondering about.

Right now im at the age of 20, im a dutch girl 1.60 and 55 kilos
my face is a little bit cute (im judging this on the number of stalkers i had) and figure not to bad...(i also have a c-cup)

i like cosplay quite a bit... i go to 2 anime conventions a year.. (there isnt much in my country... i want a weekly animeconventionT,T) and in total its like 4 days... im planning for the first one of 3 days... and i already have 3 chars im gonna cosplay as...

but.. im wondering... what if im 25.. can i still cosplay as i do now.. what if i turn 30 or 40 😕 will it stop?

i have in total 20 chars i wanna cosplay as... how can i finish them all? before i hit experation date?

arent i already to old to cosplay... or what if i suddenly turn fat OmO

i dont wanna be one of those fail cosplayers.. that cosplay really awesome chars but are reallly fugly... and screw up the char you love

but i also think that everyone has the right to cosply.. but my dignity wouldn let me cosplay fugly >< i respect and hate those that can

may i have your opinion on this??

When you get older, cosplay as characters that match your age or something. Or else you can just say "I'm x character when they are x years old"

When you're getting looks from other people who are cosplaying.

Either, it's time to change to another character that fits you better or you should just stop in general.

No age limit as long as you're easy on the eyes - because that's all that matters.

Im currently 38 years old and I still Cosplay
I do understand the age thing but I cosplay characters in or around my age group
ie. Jiraiya, Genma Saotome, Orcs( W.O.W)
Its not about cosplaying your favorite characters to me but about finding characters in my favorite anime/manga/games that "I" can pull off

There's no point in cosplaying as Chewbacca if you can pull off a Princess Leia 😀 or vise versa

20yrs old....too early to say you're too old for doing something.you'll know you don't want to cosplay when it becomes a chore or you just don't like to cosplay anymore...until then enjoy it.
As anthon41772 said, your interest in the type of cosplay will shift as you "grow up", so don't worry about it.

Anther option as you get older, if you can keep your figure trim, would be to simply go as characters who cover your face. Though, even if your face DIDN'T age, I've never seen a cosplayer with a face anything like the character they're impersonating, so it's probably not important anyway.

When you think about it, the real question is, do you really think it matters? Have you looked at some of the people cosplaying? There are damn blimps trying to be magical bishojo girls. Sometimes these blimps are unshaven men! And like I said, your face will NOT look like the character you're cosplaying anyway. This isn't a runway show, so your age isn't too important.

but i feel its important to honour the character you cosplay.. to look as much as possible as it is my goal... and id hate to cover my face...

you dont cosplay for that..

and true there are some hidious cosplayers out there... but i dont have any wish to join them

i will just have to stop aging >< it may be a hard road.. But i will do it i will fight this great evil called time and slay it with my own hands and then!! i will have saved the world of otakus 🙂

Oh please do carry on about how adorable you are, no one's irked by it (or feeling nauseous).

As long as you enjoy cosplaying, it really doesn't matter how old you are. Inevitably, most people become embarrassed with their age or grow out of it (take on a more responsible, adult-like "mind-frame"). It's a hobby, and as long as it makes you happy (if you can withstand being an object of ridicule, which, I would applaud you for) then you should keep doing it.

Really though, no one cares if you cosplay even when you're 50. 😛

Why would we need to know all of your sizes to answer this question? You're just asking us for an appropriate cut off age.

Anyway, I agree with Scy.

Are you saying you don't want to cosplay as characters that wear masks or face covers or any number of interesting hats? Or are you simply misinterpreting what I said? I find it hard to tell with your phrasing...

And like I said. YOUR FACE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE AN ANIME CHARACTER. YOU ARE FAILING ALREADY. IF YOU CAN DELUDE YOURSELF NOW, YOU CAN DELUDE YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE JUST AS WELL.

"appropriate cut off age" = death sounds right to me lol
when I'm 50+ I'm gonna cosplay as the old perv from Family Guy LOL or maybe some other senile characters that pop up around then
🤣
