So Quincy stole the bankai.....
Doesnt this remind you (somewhat)of the filler anime arc in Bleach where the Zanpakto(or whatever) leave Shingigami and go on enemy side...
By the way does anyone remember that Kubo stated in Jump that main battle will take place in a icy place(maybe Quincy hideout) ?

How is stealing bankai possible, i thought Zanpakuto were a manifestation of the soul or something close to that if a part of the soul is taken how are the shinigami still alive?

It isnt the first time this is happening. In every battle shinigami are loosing till the end whether they fight arrancer or arrancer's underling.

can they still use their shikai? i think this arc will have to do a lot with inoue, chad, ichigo ofc, and his sister. also i think in this arc the captains look more outclased with the quincy's then what they did with the arrancar but it's still to early to say since we havent seen then fight with the captains yet. good news though kempachi is not affected at all O.o
