You don't have to read the prequel to understand it. Probably the only similarity I have found is I think it might be set in the same building. If you like Judge, though, I would definitely suggest reading Doubt because it is just as entertaining.

I wonder .. but the chap15 just showed the broken staircase and the cellphone just tell me
that we'll see hints of interference with the other manga
to this point chap14 there is no relation but that might change in the future chapters
so just to be on the safe side read Doubt ... if you're in doubt ;p
