I'm not sure about the details but it features a girl who moves to a new school where it has two guys (possibly brothers) who pit the entire school into choosing between black or white uniforms. The girl feels conflicted between the two guys romance wise but in the end she winds up with the guy she befriends on the first day who has nothing to do with taking over the school. I kind of remember her friend being referred to as monkey like. She's also not a typical shoujo MC, she's pretty stoic and doesn't really care for drama. I'd really appreciate if anyone remembered the manga name as I'd like to read it again.

I vaguely remember reading this one since I still remember the birth secret of the FL but it's not this one. Thank you though. I managed to find the manga I was looking for when I realised I got the dates wrong, the manga was from early 2000's and it was Penguin Brothers.
