An ugly girl turns pretty
A fat girl turns pretty
A fat girl become loved by a handsome / popular guy

The other way around works as well, like if it's a boy instead as the scenario. I would also wish you do not include yaoi or yuri in this subject because I just can't seem to see one in this form. Just normal heterosexual comic, please.

Switch girl!! -transitions daily from one to the other. It's more about the outward appearances that we put on and how majority of the time most people just hang out in pjs. Though the transformation is definitely the point of the plot, its just lots of little ones rather than one big one.

There's also Kasane (MATSUURA Daruma) which is basically this plot but as a thriller/horror,

as she is very ugly but gains the ability to steals other people's looks/beauty. .
