Wait, what is your question? If the story centers around the girl, Tomo? If so, then yes it does. I've read a couple of chapters before, and it did indeed center around her and her upcoming baseball career.

He probably meant that the description suggests it to have a male and female main characters (Kazuya and Tomo), while when you read it it's focused only on Tomo.
