It probably sounds strange, but I long time ago a read a one shot about a man and a woman who turned out to be some ind of humanoid insects. It's been years since i read it, so how it starts and who the main character focus was is somethings that's a bit jumbled.

What i do remember is it was literally love at first sight for the two of them, connecting immediately. What i remember the best is the ending, the two lying in bed and the guy telling her she must be hungry, and she denies it. He tells her she needs to eat in order to feed the baby, but she still refuses. It's then reveled that they have wings on there backs, and their species are suppose to eat their mates, which the girl does not want to do because she loves him. The story ends with them ripping off there wings, denying their instincts and both help raise the child in the end.

It was a really lovely story, that I don't think was very long and was probably part of a collection of one shots but I can't remember for sure. If this sounds familiar, I'd like to know the name of it so I can go back and read it again.

I'm sure it was the second story, Falling In Love With The Sky, in OKAZAKI Mari's compilation Yawarakai Kara. Very memorable, indeed. I think they were humanoid praying mantis of sorts.
