I think that somebody needs to re-read the manga.

Quite blatant.
The skull knight is my favorite character so far because of his sick ass armor.

This might be completely wrong but i think that gaiseric/skull knight has a long personal history with void and the other god hand and was screwed over by them really bad a long time ago. Kind of like how gatts was betrayed by griffith. It seems to indicate that gatts might just end up like the skull night by himself and always at war with an invincible enemy(even though he is really strong too).

It's completely wrong.

There was no 'other' God Hand. This is the only one in King Gaiseric's time. His entire history is with Void.. Effectively the manga has led us to believe that there is a correlation between Void/SK's situation, and our friend Gatts/Griffith's situation.

They're the two enigmas that happened to survive the sacrificial ceremonies. SK hopes that with Gatts they might finally be able to end the cycle of fate. He mentions this all shortly after the ceremony where he saves Gatts.

So instead of indicating that Gatts would end up like the Skull Knight, its indicating that Gatts is the hope that might end the cycle, rather than repeat it.

the God Hand group may not have started out like the way we see it now. Void is likely to have created it, but that doesn't mean the power behind them wasn't around before him and SK. it had to have come from somewhere. and the current God Hand should at least have some sort of connection to SK as well seeing as how they know who he is. besides he's been fighting them for all these years, right? bigrazz
plus i dunno about him placing his hopes on Guts. i agree with you on them both being the anomalies behind the Eclipse, but the way they go about things is entirely different though. so far he's shown no sign of really helping him in the first place in matters of getting rid of the God Hand aside from the fact that he pops up during the random summonings.... well it's just my opinion anyway. laugh
