It matters to me. I personally hate organized religion and ironically, to me, if were to find out that we did indeed evolve from apes or whatever it would be a a blessing. Evolutionary theory makes more sense than half the crap religion spews out.The sooner the better.

Some people may argue that if we did evolve from apes, we're nothing but animals. cough Alanneowyn cough We are nothing but animals. We made up moral codes ourselves so that we could establish order and progress. Morality is just another form of law that society uses to keep our natural instincts in check. So there. 😐

It only matters to me when some crazy fundamentalist group tries to force public school boards to include the teaching of religious beliefs in the science classroom. Otherwise, it can't say it bothers me that much. Even if I wasn't an agnostic I grew up in a Catholic household, and since the Church accepts that evolution is a fact it was never even something that concerned me before my concept of the universe changed. But to answer your question no, my belief that we came from monkeys certainly doesn't impact my day to day decision making all that much. Well, except maybe that I should eat balanced meals.

I don't bother myself much from where we are from. What matters to me more is where we are headed. Cause as far as my point-of-view penetrates we have been doing the same cycle over and over again with no long term goals. C'mon , I mean securing a future for your off springs who again do the same is not a long term goal. I mean what is the point if you live to see to it that your off spring does the same. I know you can argue by saying you can do so many things like have fun and all that stuff but all those things become obsolete once one dies, no matter how much you believe in re-incarnation or afterlife. It is like life here is just like a trial round before you order the full package, at least to me. So I am just curious.

God is not like us. He does not follow the rules of physics. He exist and always will exist.

Anyways the existance of a God raises so many more questions.
Why exactly did It create black holes?
Why exactly did It exterminate the dinosaurs?

Typical Response: God works in mysterious ways.

Right.....

No. i don't really care where we came from. i don't even care about history. life's all about living in the present for the future. nothing about the past

Forgive me but that's just a load of c**p. So you would make the same mistakes over and over again? Without the past, who would you be? A person without history and therefore without any real value. The past doesn't disappear just because you want it to be erased. Sure you live in the present, but the past is a part of you that you can't ignore.

😲 My God! The bullcrap is shoved so far down your throat I..... I think it's stuck. I'm sorry there's nothing we can do. 😐

Just kidding, anyways the existance of a God raises so many more questions.

Right..... [/quote]

First of all, do not be rude.

Second, black holes are not yet proven to exist. We only observed it's effect indirectly. Also, the existence of black hole have nothing to do with God.

Third, I didn't say I don't believe in the theory of evolution either. I said God created human and God does not have to be created because He does not follow the laws of physics. I'm agnostic

You are so full of your own self righteous junk that you blindly deny the existence of God all together. As a modern human of some education, you should consider all possible routes to the problem and keep an open mind

And why the hell are we arguing about who created human, this tipic should be if we care or not. Which seem to be a pretty useless topic.

Sorry if I come off as rude; I tend to be sarcastic in nature. I said Just Kidding btw. Also, I do keep myself open to the possibility of God existing, it's just not God as everyone thinks. By God I'm thinking you mean creator of all. Including creator of black holes. Sure, no direct detection was ever made but it's pretty hard not to come to theconclusion that black holes exist when presented with all the evidence. Finally from your previous response you seemed to be the narrow-minded self righteous individual who was not open to other possibilities:

God created human, end of story.

Remember that? That was what pissed me off.

Um, for the record - the moral code exists because it benefits humans. The reason we don't go around killing people indiscriminately is not because some higher power told us to (and therefore, if we evolved from some ape-like creature, we wouldn't have one) but because over time, humans realized that it's much better for us not to kill other people (without a damn good reason). Same goes for all the other things that we have a moral aversion to. There was almost certainly a time in history when that kind of thing happened, but humans realized that it was better for EVERYONE to work together - to ensure survival - and that's what led to civilization.

And how does God fit into this? God created those single-celled organisms with the potential to evolve. Everyone happy now? =)

wtf.....existence of black holes got nothing to do with God?.....

i'm agnostic. I do not believe in the bible or the church or any holy books or places. I just believe God exist. And yet you, such a believer is telling us that God has nothing to do with black holes. Then is it not omnipotent? and yes it is IT not HE not SHE. IT. Comprehending the gender of God is a stupid human action.
