Redrawing is an advanced level job for cleaners. They are usually responsible for cleaning out text from a drawing panel (you know sometimes text is written outside the speech bubble). Redrawers clean that text and redraw that part if it is required. Usually the groups who do sfx requires redrawers.

For doing this you need to have knowledge of Photoshop. You can google for tutotials on cleaning first as that is the basic.

Like strix said, redrawing is the hardest part of the cleaning job and requires the most knowledge of photoshop. You probably could jump right into being a redrawer, but I recommend starting with a cleaning job where you'll encounter a few redraws as you go.

Redrawing is a hard and grueling job at times, and back when I used to do this, if I didn't have the normal editing routines to space out the redraws, I probably would have lost my mind.

One duty that strix didn't mention, is that it's typically the redrawer's job to join double page spreads because there's a blank strip between the two pages that you have to fill in.

Here are a few cleaning guide you'd like to check out before doing any gruesome tasks for redrawing.

Thank you for responds! I just thought redrawer job meant to fixed the background where the text is being translated but more than I possibly imagine. Although, am still interesting but I think it would be best if I have to perform on any page as a test and lets others judge on it. Are there by the chance, I wonder?

By the way yep, I have CS5 photoshop and tablet since I am an artist myself. I'll check out those links you typed. ^__^

Tablets can really help, its great for when you need to redraw stuff and there's no clone source. That being said, cloning is also your friend.

If you meant adding the English script onto the cleaned version of a manga page, that would be called TYPESETTING / LETTERING. Most groups require you to have a good grasp of various kinds of fonts, though, but it is fairly easy.

Usually groups require you to do a test of about one to three pages when joining anyways. Just try applying for one you like and they will tell you if you did a good job with the redrawing or not.
Keep in mind that many or most groups have cleaners do the redrawing instead of splitting up the two jobs, though.
(Some are willing to train you if you're new to the whole thing, too. Just look around, it should be specified on their website)
