I don't mean to offend anyone but why do people post...eh I'm going to say inappropriate... (only word I can think of at the moment) pictures of themselves online. I've seen so many weird pics in myspace, facebook, hi5, etc. I'm not really saying it's wrong if you do, I just want to know why others do it like is it to gain attention or just for self pride. I mean is it okay to show a part of yourself to a stranger whose thoughts are only perverted and who knows what they do when they see the pic....I mean this mainly to girls who are proud to show how big their breast are or what not.

Like just the other day I was chatting online with my friend when I received a message from a classmate saying that if I take a picture naked and send it to him he'd actually send me a pic showing how big he is--um yeah like that's ever going to happen. Do guys really feel better just showing girls their manhood? Pride? Attention?

So yeah why do people do that? Again I do not mean to offend those who do.

I see it on every networking site I'm on. They always have those pics that show almost everything and have a caption that says, "You like what you see?", or "You know you want this...". And then they always say that they have a boyfriend/girlfriend, or that they're only looking for friends.

I think the reason is similar to that of why a stripper do it, not the money reason that is. It is some sort of self esteem boost.....the other is some sort of pride in their own body......another is a desire to be liked or loved.....

It all points to a want or desire for attention....

It doesn't matter what the reason is.....all it matters is.......

But I want to know who's worst the person that actually responds to the pic thinking they have a chance (fools), or the person who posts them up knowing the other doesn't have a chance at all and probably has a boyfriend/girlfriend. Seems like unfaithfulness on their part to me if that's the case

I know so many people who are on the facebook thing and showing off their assets but, the people I know who do it and I'm close to them generally do it because well sorry for sounding corny but "Everyone else is doing it", to sum it all up.

Although some of my friends have realized how akward it was when the thought about the facebook lurkers who add them because of their pictures they removed them. All in All the people who do realize how akward it is, usually do it just to seem more popular and tease people like me who have little chance. But its more fun on my side knowing that I will ignore the pictures anyways because I avoid large social sites like facebook.

Yeah maybe they do it out of lack of self confidence or maybe they do it to tease, but I don't see a problem with that o_o. People do similar things for the same reason. Why do we wear make-up or why do work on building muscles. I'm sure there's plenty of reasons, but I'm betting some of them are "self confidence" etc etc.

I think majority of the time it is for 2 reasons

1. They want attention
2. They get enjoyment in being teases and letting ppl see what they can't have

Honestly, sometimes I wonder how can ppl's common sense allow them to post some of the pics that I've seen them post but then again it brings me laugh so I don't complain 2 much.
