I'm sure it is taken completely out of context, and if we watch the Anime, there will be a perfectly good reason for the harshness.

i want to say I saw this exact scene in a manga, and the guy actually had no reason for it besides the fact that he was a jackass.

Well that happens too. 🙁 But I prefer if it's minor characters that do that if there's no explanation otherwise guys like that deserve the label "jerk".

Gah, this is a spoiler for Penguin Brothers where the female character confronts the leader of the blacks. 🙁 I had to put it in the box since one wouldn't have known that from the beginning of the manga.

The mangaka for Penguin Brothers was sort of disturbed that the leader of the blacks side hit the main character several times. (I'd say he beat her up but he didn't send her to the hospital so that'd be an exaggeration.) When the character wasn't as mean later on in the series, the fans seemed okay with what he did or easily forgave him.

I dunno what anime it's from, maybe the style of the art would help narrow down which one it is....Maybe it's my memory messing with me but is it from "Jigoku Shoujo"?
