How is the song ignorant? ¬_¬
Well obviously human are not peaceful creatures. Therefore the only way they know how to resolve international problems is with force.
So every anti-war song ever written is ignorant because war is all we can do to solve problems between countries... yeah makes sense 🙄
On Topic: Minor Threat - Look Back and Laugh
Cheer up song right now is Fortress Europe by Asian Dub Foundation. I don't understand half of what it's saying but I like the beat all the same
To see everything from the perspective of eternity

According to wikipedia, that song was first recorded by The Temptations and the most well known version by Edwin Starr. So in other words, you're both wrong.
On topic, my current "cheer up" song is "Constructive Summer" by The Hold Steady, followed closely by "I Don't Want to Die (in the Hospital)" off of the new Conor Oberst album.

here are the lyrics to the Edwin Starr song. Pretty sure it's the same song.
James Brown might have covered the song as far as I know (don't even really care for the song myself), but he is not the original artist or the recorder of the most well known version.
And you're right, wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, but usually most things on there are at least partly true.

Right now, my cheer up song is Come What May from Moulin Rouge (I hate the movie, but I love the soundtrack) and it is really making me feel better about that mean guidance counselor thinking I am a freshman. >:-( maybe I need angry music...

After a bad day... Well, there is "For fruits basket" , always cheers me up.
Or I just listen to some classical music.
But Ritsuko Okazaki's songs always cheer me up the best.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.
