hi guys, while viewing webpages on my firefox and IE my screen gets darker if it's a dark homepage. not just the browser... the whole screen(startmenu desktop and edges) and when minimizing or changing window it turns back to normal in a flash. any idea what it is and how i can turn it off? really annoying while reading on some forums and mangasites.

solved on the monitor samsung syncmaster 226cw there is an option called dynamic contrast. switch it to something else and ur fine*******************************************

Hm, I don't know o.o But are you sure it's not your imagination because of the contrast? 😛 But I hope you can solve your problem.

i'm very sure Calibine 🙂 i can't find any smart dimmer or auto thingy in my plans or when i create a new one(have it on high performance) so i dunno if it's that eccentrrick. thank you.

i have the same thing, every few days while im on my computer the screen just turns completely black for about 2 seconds then turns back on. it has only done this with windows 7 😐 its creepy.

I suggest you install the newest version of your graphic drivers...

i've tried like 4 diffrent drivers (newest included) though. it's a nvidia gtx 260. but thx for the advice.

dunno what i've done to get it. it just started after i restarded my computer for the night. didn't update anything. 🤢 .
