Definition of "Status in Country of Origin"

The Status in Country of Origin field is a straight text field.
I have noticed on some series that the field includes entries for both Tankobon releases and Bankubon releases.
Given this I cannot help but suspect that a number of entries might have some more esoteric status descriptions than the four given by lambchopsil, although I suspect only a Site Admin would be able to find out for certain.
I suspect that unless the field is split into two with a Length in Country of Origin and a drop down list for Status that there will continue to be members who will update the Status with their own versions.

I've actually used (Incomplete) on occasion, as (Discontinued) does not allow the "Complete list" link under the List Stats section.
It's more of a fudged fix on my part.
What do you mean by this?

The only way to get the complete list when Discontinued is used is to type out the url for the series you are interested in... However, when Incomplete is used, the Complete in Incomplete triggers the the function on the site.
So, for Yoo Ah Dok-Jon, the link would be...
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?act=list&list=complete&sid=35625

So, as far as I understand, the only problem is not the new definitions but the site code itself.
Moreover, it seems that other users believe (like me) that discontinued should be used for forcefully stopped series (see the poll). Maybe this poll can be used for next week manga poll, so we will see what other users think.
About the code, is it php? Can't you find someone? Is it possible to see it? I studied php 3 years ago and shouldn't be so hard to add an exception to Discontinued....
Edit: Now I see many series labeled "Complete/Discontinued": does it solve the problem?

@lambchopsil: So the result is? As you can see from the poll, there is a 50-50 on Rushed Ending/Axed and Discontinued: lets use this poll for this week manga poll so there is an unanimous decision (I can't stand to see series edited every week only for Complete and Discontinued 😔 )
P.S. I suggested the poll at topic 3903 (Site Manga Poll Suggestions) and post #450826

I guess you could say it's fixed now, as Incomplete doesn't create the Complete List link under List Stats.
But I had hoped that (Discontinued) would have created the link to the Complete List instead of having to use Incomplete.

@lambchopsil Is this poll useful or not? From the answers, you can see (still) a 50-50 on Rushed Ending/Axed and Discontinued: I don't understand why you didn't use this week poll for this instead of another useless poll.
This poll could improve the user experience of the site, why didn't you use it?!

Your poll wasn't picked, please don't complain about it. Unless of course you're sure that going on about how great and mighty your poll is will make the admins see the supposed error of their ways.

The elves have already spoken, and besides, that's an absurdly simplistic way to look at a poll whose options favoring the status quo outnumber the others. If you add together similar categories "rushed ending/axed/complete" is pretty far ahead. It's not even a contest.

After a private discussion with blakraven66 (that I thank), he made me reflect on what I was proposing and what was wrong in my idea of discontinued mangas.
I believed that discontinued mangas were announced on their own magazines by their own publishers!
After reading so many times on different sites things like "xxx has been discontinued" or "xxx will end in next 3 chaps" and so on, I had that wrong idea of that announcement...
Also, the idea to introduce another category is wrong because, (blakraven66 I always thank you for this), "Rushed Ending/Axed" is formed by 2 sentences (?) that have the same meaning! (for you at least)
All said, I mistook all of this due to an error of mine but also thanks to the name given to that category!
So I'm here not to suggest the discontinued thing, but to rename that category to Forced to End/Axed
I think that a category like "Forced to End/Axed" is way more understandable than "Rushed Ending/Axed"
What do you think?

No reply at all? 😔
Bump after 7 days.
And really, I'm sure that some people are obsessive enough about English vocabulary and specifics, but the majority understands that tag absolutely fine, so your arguments does not warrant a change, in my opinion.
You might find that arguing whether 'irregardless' is really a word, to be more worth your time.
