I've noticed a lot of the time in an anime or manga when a misunderstanding happens say (someone catching their love interest/spouse in a compromising position like someone forcing a kiss on them or they do or say something that's overheard) a lot of the time that misunderstanding is resolved very quickly (Too quickly sometimes). Would anyone have any examples of misunderstandings that actually causes damage to the point where there's drama for an extended period of time? The person affected is actually hurt by what happened. While yes, it's a misunderstanding the person who was part of it put themselves in that position.

I'd like if the person affected by the misunderstanding is a main guy and the one causing it is the main girl.
