Welcome! Thank goodness for female readers who are not yaoi-crazed. I understand your aversion to Shoujo. I'm not a fan of many shoujo series, though there are a few that have really grabbed my attention. I'm more of a fan of the series that mix genres. I love some good sappy romance, but darkness and death and thought-provoking stuff are also great.

I'm in the process of trying to learn Japanese. I've learned all the kana and over 100 kanji, and practice my knowledge of the language by attempting to read RAW manga. It's slow-going, but I'm learning a little more every day.

maybe... I've been trying to read few mangas of this genre but managed to worry along only first chapters. don't cross the bridges before you come to them though, so everything can happen 🙂
