I've been engaged in a search for yaois without clichés and they are really hard to gather. I think the proportion is 10x1. I made a list (these things should be included in the descriptions, would make my life so much easy).

1. The uke is girlish and a crying baby - seriously why some ukes cries that much?

2. The seme lost his patience and rapes the uke - the infamous line is "I can't wait any longer" - the uke cries a lot, says "no" as crazy but ends enjoying and falls in love with the seme.

3. The seme at first rejects the uke (usually the infamous line is "I'm not into boys" or "I'm not gay") but a few pages later magically is in love with the uke.

4. The seme says "Let me prepare you" (or something like this) but then all of sudden attacks the uke and have wild sex.

5. The seme always ask if hurts. The uke always answer "No, just a little."

6. The former-straight seme accepts the uke's love forever (and the story ends because the smexy scene already happened).

7. The seme is always taller than the uke and bigger.

Seriously, that's why I love Myiamoto Kano and Kunieda Saika.
Any other clichés that I'm forgetting?

You hit the nail on the head T^T I guess that...a lot of the time the seme is abusive and way too overprotective, maybe the seme realizes his feelings later. Like a young girl, confusing that for true love. If you've read Tatoe Toraware no Koi demo (even I being a fan of Cj Michalski) you know what I mean. That manga made me want to kill myself, that is if I were that boy. Odd for smut.
