I was wondering if there are any magical girl manga out there where the girl has a major and powerful male partner. I'm not talking about people like Tuxedo Mask who just jump in at the best moment to give the girl a chance. I'm talking about people like Seiya from Nurse Angel Ririka SOS or Syaoran from the later portion of Cardcaptor Sakura: boys with their own powers who immediately rush to join the battle and help/protect the girl, fight at her side and really fit the term "partner", regardless of whether they're stronger or weaker, more or less important.
