future from your child eyes
Well wanted to know how the future looked to you from your past self (let´s say 8/10 years old).
When i was a child i thought science would be more developed, maybe cars would fly, robots would be usual, maybe space travel would be common too. Silly me, maybe everybody as a child had such a wild fantasies, just wanted to know.

To me it's exactly what I expected. Everything looks the same and there haven't been any extreme advances in just about everything. I kind of like it staying the same but it wouldn't hurt to change it once in every few years.
Grass was green.
That's all.
I just enjoyed my time
as much as I could,
although life wasn't that
easy. I expected nothing.

When I was 8, I thought this world would be more like Star Wars by now...

I've read from somewhere that the only future-related thing kids think about is their own lives. What job they'd want to have, where they'd want to live, etc. Kids are kids, they haven't learned to think about things that doesn't concern them yet.
When I was a kid I remembered what I wanted to be when I grow up, but I never remembered thinking about the future of the world at all.

I was thinking about what I wanted to do when I grew up. Horses figured prominently.
They say it's the thought that counts, but then they tell you, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions......"

I didn't really think of what the would would be like back then.
But back in 2nd grade, as I recall, I thought 4th graders were like....HUGE. And they were supposedly old, mature, and well...KINGLY. Then...I got to 4th grade, only to think that it's nothing big, and thought that 6th graders were BIG AND MIGHTY. Then, I got there too, and same thing happens. At 6th grade, I thought 8th graders were old and cool and blah. Same thing happens, AGAIN. You'd think I'll consider highschoolers cool and mighty by now, but I'm already too used to this. D: standards are now set on college
I laugh at myself when I look back down on 4th graders, and thinking maybe just one of them would think I'm high and mighty...

Actually when I was really young I wanted to be a Dr. or Lawyer, then when I was about 8yrs I decided I wanted to be a veterinarian. I continued on that path until high school when I started volunteering at a vet hospital. I then got a part time job there and eventually full time. Now I don't ever want to be a vet and I know I won't be in this field of work for much longer. I say volunteering is the best thing I ever did, helped me to find out what I didn't want to do.

Well atleast I was thinking about how my old, bulky TV would look like later on and around 2002 when laptops became more well-known I was hoping that at school we'd only work on a laptop sigh (and shhhh, I'm still hoping...atleast for college <_<)
As for careers, I wanted to be a phylosopher, an inventor, an astronaut, an astronomer, a translator, a veterianrian, owner of a hotel and so on. All until 10 years 😛
