You can technically already do this by going to advanced filtering and choosing "only show results for manga" under type.

It could be even more useful to have the same feature here : User CP -> Release Filtering.

Yes, I also would find it useful if it were possible to blacklist manhua/manhwa releases. It took me years to learn the cultural references in mangas, I'm not going to do it all again for Korea and China.
At the moment I'm using a workaround of blacklisting scanlators that specialize in those types, but it's kinda a suboptimal solution since I'd not be seeing any potential future manga releases by those groups.

You could use this while something like what you want isn't implemented.

It excludes the type you don't want, e.g. Manga, Manhua, Manhwa and Novels. Just change what's in the last part of the link.
Exclude Novels - https://www.mangaupdates.com/releases.html?exclude_type=No vel
Exclude Manga - https://www.mangaupdates.com/releases.html?exclude_type=Ma nga
etc. You get the drill.
Edit: Remove the space that shows up between "No vel" and "Ma nga". I don't know why that shows up.
