I was wondering people got into One Piece. I got into 8 years ago when I watched an episode on cartoon network. It was the one where they were fighting arlong's men. It peaked my interest and I started reading the manga. Well, I think that's how I did if I remember correctly. 😁

I knew it was popular and asked my younger brother if he thought it was good.

I watched it years ago on TOONAMI(Cartoon Network), then about a year ago my friend kept bugging me to read it. And now I read it every week.
The same thing applies to Naruto and Bleach.

Been reading OP since I was 12. I am 22 years old today. Just picked it up by a whim after I read DragonBall.

Saw how popular it was on onemanga and decided to give it a read/watch, don't remember if I checked the anime or manga first, gave up but could not resist retrying some times later and I don't regret having done so.

Was reading an article on* Dragon Ball *which said it had inspired many popular works such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, etc.... OP's rating and Naruto's popularity made me read them later on.

I was in Germany, and all alone at home during the day. Only things worth watching were documentaries on ProSieben and Anime on RTL II.
It introduced me to Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Shaman King, Monster Rancher, Detective Conan, Hamtaro and of course One Piece (Pokemon too, if you want to count that).
Got back to the Netherlands and got interested in continuing Anime (they had this awesome Anime called Shinzo 😲 .
When discussing this wonder with my Chinese friends, they introduced me to Manga such as DN Angel and Rave Master 😀 which later brought me to the scanlation scene, starting with SnoopyCool and this awesome #Lurk database (IRC was so cool to learn) and the anime from Dattebayo 🤣
I've stopped watching anime though 🙂
watched the one piece marathon on cartoon network
when i was a kid
