Light Novels

I don't think anyone has made a topic about this yet.
So.. Recently light novels have become quite popular! To the extent where they're published in many countries. Do you read light novels? Have recommendations for any? In general, anything you want to discuss related to light novels 😛 .
Also, is it me or has there been less and less groups translating light novels?

Kino no Tabi -the Beautiful World- is by far my favorite, though a couple others like Spice and Wolf are nice.
Light novels are a lot harder to translate than manga- the language, while still relatively simple, doesn't have the aid of visual representation, furigana, etc. I suspect this is why so few groups opt to work on them.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

I haven't read many, but ones I do quite enjoy are;
Fate/Zero
Kara no Kyōkai A prequel of sorts to Tsukihime
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (Novel) I think it's better than the anime or manga

Doesn't baka tsuki still translate that?
or are you talking about legal translations?
Anyway, my favorite light novel is to aru majutsu no index.
Toma is just awesome.
What I like most is that it has a bit of an adventure feel and really no focus on love plots, which I think are too big a focus in most light novels. Seriously, a lot are like cheap romance novels aimed at (sad/otaku) males.

I actually think it doesn't have enough romance! I mean it has some, like we can all tell that
Mikot- I mean Biri-biri has a crush on Touma. And there's when Index tells Touma she loves him when he's in the hospital after he loses his memory. But it needs more!
I'm pro Index x Touma by the way 😀
I'm looking for some able translators to join my group, PM me if you're interested~
