Why didnt ichigo's dad reveal his real "identity" to ichigo? u no he could have trained ichigo to like supersian or something so why didnt he? 😕

i don't see how you can accidentally let your wife die..and to not use it because you weren't there to protect her is a pretty idiotic reason. more like he didn't do shi*. hasn't there been a movie revolving around that incident. along with gay flashbacks..he was nowhere to be found..even if they decide to tie that together..it'll be pretty gay. i love the bs logic in this series and the crap story telling..if only they could finish it so i could be through with it all 😛

anywho episode 143 at the end has a comment that his powers came back. Thus he didn't have anything before hand that would have been of any help...the manga shows something similar if i recall..but i deleted those chapters and don't care enough to re-download them...anywho..maybe you should pay more attention shadowknight...

I've got a feeling that there will be more on Ichigo's dad soon enough in the upcoming gaiden chapters that will reveal the answers a lot of peoples' questions.

Personally, i think the Yourichi(sp?)/Urahara team training was better for Ichigo than his dad could have done.

His dad wouldn't want to push him past his limits, like The other two did, since they were so close and all, but now that he has gone through the basics, has a bankai and is overall, tougher than he was before, i imagine that it would be ok for Isshin to train him

The mangaka is still trying to figure out how to fit in the twist that Ichigo's dad was a Soul Reaper (Captain level at that), despite his mom being killed by the lowest of the low of hollows. Oh and also adding to that, the hollow that attacked Ichigo and his family in the first volume where Rukia had to give Ichigo her powers. (Which makes me laugh that Rukia got all buffed up when she had problems with a weak-ass hollow back in the day, who Ichigo killed without an ounce of training.) Umm... Anyone else see discrepancies?

Just because you're good doesn't mean you are invincible. If you let you guard down even the most trivial things can destroy you on the battlefield. I think Isshin probably felt betrayed by his powers not letting him save his wife despite being, supposedly, very powerful. Therefore he abandoned the powers he felt had abandoned him, that is possibly why he didn't reveal, unseal his powers and reveal them to Ichigo. There's also the potential question from Ichigo of "Why didn't you protect mom?" that he would have to deal with and that is still a bomb that has yet to be uncovered.

That's why Ishida's father told Ishhin that he is a better father than Isshin the fact that he at least trained Ishida and let his son regain his quincy powers before Ishida went to Hueco Mundo while Isshin did nothing.

Isshin couldn't have saved his wife since I think during those time his shingami powers have not yet come back and I still don't have an idea how did it happen except maybe if urahara give him a gigai similar to the one he gave to rukia's which makes your shinigami powers dwindle. He didn't tell ichigo at first maybe because he doesn't want ichigo to have any business with SS and wants his son to live a normal human life. But now that ichigo already have something to do with SS, I'm not sure why he doesn't let his son on his secret , maybe to avoid more questions about his past which has something to do with the royal guards and spirit king if the theory is correct that he is one of the royal guards. 🤣
