Hmm.... I remember some actually being funny, where they changed the text of a chapter but it was still barely believable. I guess I don't mind, as long as they made a good effort to be funny 🙂

(Mildly) annoying. Most don´t even try, that´s the main problem.

Most people simply don't have sufficient intelligence and/or sense of humor to come up with any good jokes. So when there's a day in a year where they feel compelled to make jokes, the result is only cringe worthy.

I put hate them, but a good fake translation with the right one coming some hours after is acceptable.

So long as they're properly labeled, I'm fine with them. I've seen some funny prank translation, but I once downloaded an anime that was all joke translated without knowing. That annoyed the hell out of me.

I don't mind them. I don't enjoy reading them but if they fool me into clicking it that's good enough for a chuckle. However if there's not an actual release by the 2nd I hate it.

At the beginning I didn't mind them. But, these days they're blatantly Annoying, as most don't have nothing new/interesting to put on the plate.

Hate, an utter waste of time and effort, if I want jokes I'll read a comedy or the comic strips in my daily newspaper.

No opinion since I've rarely encontered them but I remember one that was pretty good. It was a release by Lychee Scans (inactive now) for the manga Woodstock. Then it got uploaded to aggregate sites which made the manga make zero sense. Hilarious shit

I don't really mind. I mean, the scanlation team spent time on cleaning the pages and translating, and then typesetting, so if they want to have some fun filling in the blank bubbles with dialog of their own choosing, they can have that fun.

Also, most of the time it's not an entire chapter that's been "pranked", but a few pages, so shrug. Most of the time the jokes are kinda funny, other times, lame sorrynotsorry.

But in the end, I mean... I'm a leecher. If the scan-teams want to have a laugh at my expense, I'll fall for it. As long as they don't joke about quitting/dropping the series. That takes it too far.

Some do try to be funny. Either by editing some of the pages, edit/make one pages out of available boxes from previous chaps with edited text. Some are blatantly insulting or bad edit either they try to be funny but ended up with cringes, other are purely insulting.

So yeah while some are annoying, more do try and are funny. For the poll though i pick Don't mind because if it's funny then i laugh while ignoring the insulting ones

Leechers should really know their place - mind you, I'm one most of the time as well - so people should really appreciate the effort the scanlators put into their releases instead of nitpicking at any- and every single little tidbit!
