It's kind of weird that he's the only Haki user who has an observable physical change when using the color of armaments (except when he took out that Pacifista). Maybe because of his devil fruit? And speaking of which, Hody must be pretty damn durable if he can survive against attacks that took out Pacifistas in one hit (although Luffy did use color of armaments + gear 2 rather than just color of armaments alone).

Great story as always; plus, it's quite interesting to see Luffy's training paid off after those 2 years.
Even more interesting is seeing how both Hody and Luffy beating the crap out of Van Decken (albeit, for different reasons).
Anyway, looking forward to see what happens next.

Great chapter... Luffy is so strong now.. but it seems like Hody does not want to go down. I wonder what he plan on doing next and how they will stop Noha from destroying the island

Someone from Apforums mentioned about Rubber Vulcanization has to do with Luffy's hard armored skin.

That would seem to be another Gear, where Luffy is exploiting his body's rubber properties rather than using a "weaponized" implementation of Haki, which is apparently all "spirit." Either way, an awesome find.
