I cannot remember the title for a one shot where one coworker stared lovingly
at the other the entire time and when the other guy confronted him regarding it a saying something regarding how talking to him would have worked better and the other guy says that it worked fine and his feelings got across.

Hmmmm....feels like I've read it but I have no idea where and when. If I come across it I'll let you know.
