WTF? translations

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I've been reading a lot of manga lately with the same translation errors.

That said, what is up with "get on/off the car"?? You get ON a train, plane, bus, motorcycle, and bike. You get OFF of them, too. BUT, you get IN or OUT of a car, truck, or taxi.

Plus, there's an interesting thing going on with car SFX. Honking horns go beep-beep or beep-beeep if you're laying on it, but it does NOT go baang-baang. That would be the muffler blowing out. 🙄

Anyone else notice funny/strange translations and want to share?

Well a lot of translators don't really proofread what they write. Hence, the English doesn't just sound grammatically incorrect sometimes (direct Jp to En translation), the interpretation of the same thing may change in the beginning and at the end of the chapter.

I know since I was one of them. WAS.
