Now, I was thinking about doing a poll, but Poe wrote a lot of stories. So just tell us which one do you think is the scariest.
Here's a reference link http://www.online-literature.com/poe/
The Masque of the Red Death is the one I choose.
Ohhh...that's right....otaku don't read books.....all they read is manga.....

Poe is very awesome.. although I haven't read many of his works, I'd say out of the one's I've read "The Raven" is very creepy .
"We are all rowing on the boat of fate..
That too is a beautiful journey, isn't it?
Anything is a beautiful journey..."

I used to read a lot of Poe when I was in elementary school, and although I don't find it very scary now, back then I was very afraid of his buried alive stories, especially "The Cask of Amontillado". Now, I just find the prose to be very sing-songy and fun...which is probably very wrong. lol

My favorites was The Cask of Amontillado and The Tell-Tale Heart. I don't think they were scary, but you can tell these stories came from a very disturbed man
The only ones I've read, or can remember at least, are The Raven and The Pit and the Pendulum. I didn't really find either all that scary, I liked Pendulum better though and I think that situation would be more frightening to be in.

I don't find his works particularly scary, most are good, though Eleonora sucks bad, so i'd say I'm scared of Eleonora.

Oh, I just remembered one that made me scared when I was little. It was The Masque of the Red Death. That plague really freaked me out.
