Zetman's 'Act 1' Ends
This year's 34th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is releasing the final chapter in "Act 1" of Masakazu Katsura's Zetman manga on Thursday. The magazine is also announcing that the series' 20th compiled volume is slated to ship in Japan in mid-September.
The hero action series launched in 2002. Before the current series' 12-year run began, Zetman debuted as a one-shot manga in 1994. Shueisha published that manga one-shot in a compiled volume with three other one-shots in 1995. The story centers around Jin, a homeless boy whose true form is the new superhuman life form "ZET," and an industrial magnate's heir named Kōga with his own secret.
TMS Entertainment's television anime adaptation premiered in 2012. Viz Media streamed the series as it aired and released the anime in North America last year.
Katsura is also known for romance and comedy manga such as Video Girl Ai, DNA², and I''s.
