That sounds interesting -- I'd definitely be interested in something like that, since I've recently started purchasing manga. Unfortunately, abysmal at coding....could help with updating if needed though?! XD
I would be thrilled if they could give me a function to mark whether I own the book or have scans of a book.
See, I have like 400+ volumes of manga, yes? But then I have like 50+ gigs of scans. And sometimes I'd really like to know if I should be alt+F-ing for a series or looking on my bookshelves. I don't care about a 'purchase this volume' function, because other sites can do that.

Manick and I actually discussed something like this a few years ago...But it didn't get anywhere since he had no time to code it, and there's the problem with our site not being exactly legal...
Meanwhile, Sleepy_Sheepy's suggestion is definitely viable. However, everything's on the backburner for other things that must remain secret for now (and we're kinda short on coding staff too)

Sleepy_Sheepy's suggestion actually falls under custom lists I think...
I locked a suggestion like it sometime ago.

Should it be reopened?

Nah, what Sleepy_Sheepy is suggesting (and the other guy too) isn't really a custom list thing. It's more of a checkbox thing where each checkbox represents a volume of manga of a particular series (so vol 1 has a different box than vol 2).
And you can leave the other thread closed

Yeah, thanks Lamb, I'm not great at explaining what I mean. I'll look forward to what ever this secret is though, and I'm sorry I can't code for crap or I'd offer to help.
If you ever do decide to implement a system like that though, I'd say the hardest part would be the difference in volumes. I know that I have volumes in Japanese, English, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese, German, and French, and often times those volumes don't match up by chapter, especially the Spanish ones. So I guess you could go with English and Japaneses only, because those are what every one is likely to have. But then do you have the kanzenban, bunkoban, wide-ban, or the monthly it came in? The problem there is that even with just English alone, you still have reprints and compilation volumes, and you also have publishers who release things in comic book form too, like Ranma 1/2 and the like, as well as things that have more than one English publisher like Negima!
I don't know how you would handle that. But thanks for having considered it any way,
