He helps her find her house and meets her father, finds out they are both gay (the daughter announced it 😆) and he visits their house a lot to help the girl with school projects, and eventually he and the father fall in love. I think it's a oneshot in a collection of short stories.

I also remember the scene where he first met the girls father, he looked all scruffy and had glasses, then he was shocked when the father came out of the shower later looking all clean and polished 😳 🤣
