Anyways, what's deviantart?

It's a website basically like Youtube, but for artists.

You make an account, upload any form of art if you want, make a collection of favourites, comment on people's stuff, follow other artists etc.

You basically made his case.

You can't be a fan if you are not into it. That's the contradiction.

This.

Also i before e doesn't apply to weird. The neighbours are lying to you.

...That was such a bad joke.

Edit: Looking back, I saw you did this with another word and have concluded 'tis a typo. At any rate, the definitions for 'fan' and 'fanatic' are not horribly different.

Anyways, what's deviantart?

Damn. I always make typos. Silly habit of mine 🤢

Who said I'm not into it?

Fan, second definition, first part - admirer, You can be a fan of Coldplay without having a fan club membership, owning all their songs, the works. I like what the guys at DeviantArt do, and admire their art and their enthusiasm. They draw amazing stuff!

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

I'm a fan, but not really into it.

Having large amounts of enthusiam is not too different from having enthusiasm. To admire something, you have to like it, which means you carry a certain amount of enthusiasm for it.

Well, I hope you get my meaning 🤢
Edit - do me a favor and consider that first into italicised please. I don't want to edit my post and put the other posts out of context 😛

I always see discussions of sematics in threads like these.

But yes, you could consider me a DA addict. I have an account, I try to log in regularly (at least 1-2 times a week), I favorite things, and I post stuff I've drawn.

That's because it's our bread and butter.

Look up the word semantics and the idiom "bread and butter"... If you can't find anything, think about what bread... and butter mean for society.

No, I do know what bread and butter means (duh), but I don't get what you're emplying - bread and butter as a member of the forum or bread and butter in real life?

The term idiom means... "a saying in a particular culture"... you can think of it as slang.

So, "bread and butter" does not mean a person or thing in this instance, rather it's meaning is only based on the physical world conceptually.

.... >< I thought you were referring to Dragon Age. I was about to proudly state that yes, I indeed am an addict. Alas, you are only referring to devinant-art. Sigh.

Same here 😀

I have heard of deviant art, never visited tough.

Used to be an addict...but now I'm indifferent.
It's still a decent source for reference and inspiration though...
