I've been scouring the forums, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Are there any yaoi where one of the characters just screams "fabulous"? And I'm not talking about the okama best friend you see every so often, but a character in the main couple. Can anyone please help me out? 😀

Thats a hard one...no, I am not sure...
but there are BL with openly homosexual men in them:

Kizuna by Kazuma Kodaka
The Tyrant Falls in Love by Hinako Takanaga (well, most of her work, yes)

Maybe Level C?

You could try MIZUSHIRO Setona and est em.... 😛

Hahaha, this is exactly what i was thinking about !! 😀 😀 😀 Actually, i intended to ask it in the near future, but , since you already asked it 🙂 🙂

And, i agree ! There really aren't that kind of main characters in yaois ( or at least no that i know about )... but i saw a lot of side characters like that ( like with HUGE eyelashes and playing the role of a "mama-san" in a bar ! 😛 )...

Anyways, this one may be a bit in that direction....but only to some extend ( and not from the beginning!) : Mirai no Kioku and the sequel Kaze no Yukue

ciao 🙂

Yeah, but in most BL, a feminine uke usually IS the woman who is watching/reading it... metaphorically speaking. 😃

But yes, I believe Saika Kunieda's Future Lovers is around as close as you get in yaoi to "real gay"... I suppose you could say Mira Munakata from Ken Nanbara's Papa to Kiss in the Dark or Mitsuba Kurenai's Level-C could work....

Maybe something by SAKIRA... manly ukes....

I'd say Kanga na Spoon.
Most definitely.

Yes, the uke is a flamboyant one... I praise Reibun Ike-sensei for her originality! :3

These have all been really helpful. Kanga na Spoon is one of my favorites. And I love that Sakira was suggested. Her manga always makes me giggle.

SAKIRA draws gachi muchi-type BL manga so Its technically... more "gay" (?) than your average Boys' Love manga...
