I've looked at the RAWs for the first volume [since there is only one at the moment]. It does seem to get better. After the "incident" with the childhood friend and that perverted dog in human form the CHF;

get comfort and help from the MC. At the end of the volume the MC and CHF are talking together when the rapist dog comes and starts something with them... The MC get angry and hits the rapist, but it's like super powerful as his hunter power seem to activate at that moment becuase of his rage. Everyone that was there when he hit the rapist was shocked and surprised at his power form the looks of it. That included Lilith and the CHF.

I really wish they had another volume out so I can see what happens after the events of the final chapter of that first volume. I really want to know what happens next.
