So, what book made you first enter the dark realm of yaoi/yuri?
well, i think most people will frwad Shonen-ai/Shoujo-ai instead of Yaoi/Yuri

For me it was The Tarot Cafe, but since shonen-ai wasn't the main theme of the series, i didn't pay that much attention to it. i didn't even know that there was such genre at the time.
(but i still got hooked to the sultan mini-story, which was the most shonen-ai short story in there, i was a natural-born yaoi fangirl)

The first series that introduced me to the yaoi genere was Hana Kimi, which is funny because that series is NOT a yaoi or shonen-ai at all!

I started to read Shonen-ai and Yaoi seriously with A Night of a Thousand Dreams, but i was still so innocent though. I was like "hmm i wonder what that ointment-looking gel is" 🤣 (i found out the truth not few days later)
