And that means they are more or less fucked, even Germany can't win without a proper captain. And who should replace him Schweinsteiger ??
I hope Spain wins the cup, they played really good during the Euro.

Yes but that was 2 years ago.
Plus if Fabregas, Torres and Iniesta don't recover in a few weeks, I can't see them winning.

I'm cheering up for Denmark because of some Danish friends of mine. And after that, maybe I'll cheer for Italy too. The only country that I never cheer up for is France (the 1998 and the 2006 world cups should explain. France always kicks Brazil's ass...).
And also because I'm disappointed with Brazil. Dunga (the coach) choose some players that are reserves in theirs teams! I think Dunga is right when he talks about choosing people that are interested and dedicated, but picking up reserves and leaving good players out is really stupid.
Unless that's a strategy. I mean, everybody is expecting the "magical square" (Ronaldinho, Robinho, Kaká, and Adriano) or the "three R's" (Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho). But I don't think so...
Well, I don't care much about soccer, but I wanted to see Victor (Grêmio's goalkeeper) in the national team. =/

Oh yeah and Ronaldo is pretty much like a neighbor to me. He was born in madeira Funchal home town, My aunt knew him aswell. The same kid i used to see play football in the streets is now hitting it live on tv!
The most expensive Football player in the world! WOOP, WOOP!
Porto has other notable players, we just have to see were it ends 🙂
Its not a one man team...

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

I'm not Portuguese in any way but I agree with you completely. Ronaldo will probably pull off his cocky game with the smirk on his face, and just because that guy posted that he is a wanker, just means that Ronaldo won in the long run. You gotta love him or hate him, it's an obsession either way.
Please don't flame me with your shitty comments saying blahblahblah Ronaldo is gay or anything similar because I did not intend a troll here, and how about just sit back, relax, grab a six pac and watch the game & most of all - ENJOY! We will see who wins ^^

They were good in the Confed-Cup even though they lost to US and looked a little bit unmotivated against South Africa 🤣 .
Plus if Fabregas, Torres and Iniesta don't recover in a few weeks, I can't see them winning.
Can't argue about that, Iniesta is unbelievable strong and one of the most important key players, even Barca was "nothing" without him.
Portugal plays football which is a pleasure to watch but in contrast to Spain they never win anything in the end 😉
My greatest fear is that again Italy or Germany will win in the end, no matter how bad they play.
I really hope that Spain don't win and that they are eliminated early in the tournament. I think that Germany can be a good team to win, perhaps it isn't the best team but they have a good overall balance.

Spain if the injured players return, otherwise Italy or Germany.
Italy is like Inter in a sense. . . may not play brilliant football all the time but they're very pragmatic and do whatever it takes to win
England: not a chance, midfield = fail. . . good players but it's not gonna work. . . they'd need more flair and better technique if they wanted to win. . .
Portugal: Ronaldo is gonna trip over the grass straws. . . they rely to much on individual skill
France, kind of like Italy but less pragmatic, so they're gonna fail because they're too idealistic and have a moron of a coach. . .
. . . as will Argentina and Brazil, Maradona and Dunga are utter complete idiots. . . I like Dunga's ideas to some extent but why didn't he bring along Pato etc. etc. Maradona. . . Not bringing along Cambiasso. . . maybe the best central midfielder in the world right now. . . stupid idiot
outsiders:
Ivory Coast and Ghana look very interesting. . . if they just had decent GK's I'd rank them above Italy and Germany
Netherlands. . . I do hope they manage to get far in the tournament. . . gotta love their game 😃
meanwhile I'll be cheering for Denmark, GO NEIGHBOURS!!! 😀

Well there are plenty of possibilities:
My first choice would be Spain, but they immediately face off against either Brazil, Portugal or Ivory coast right after an easy group stage. At such an early stage I can see them losing against all three opponents.
My Second choice Brazil has the same problems as Spain as they face really tough opponents. I'm also not quite sure if Dunga made such a smart choice not selecting great attacking players in favor of more defense minded ones.
After those two all the big names are equal IMO. (except Argentina and France, horrible coaches really)
Italy and Germany aren't that rich in quality, but their style of play always manages to get things done. England have a great manager and enough quality to be taken serious, with only their lack confidence holding them back.
Netherlands are inform at the moment and I hope they can pull it off, but I fear our defense just isn't up for the challenge. The same can be said for Portugal.

Regarding Brazil's choice for the team... It's pretty reasonable actually, our football(despite actually enjoying watching american football more than I enjoy football, calling "american football" football doesnt make any sense. The amount of time a player has his foot on the ball in american football is negligible. It should be called something like "brainsmash"or "tacklefest" 🤣 ) has taken a turn to the defensive side. At least so I heard. I'm an aberration. I'm a brazillian that doesnt like football...

well I do agree with Dunga's philosophy, 4-2-3-1 is my fav formation and it's got two def midfielders, it's just that I don't agree with leaving out players like Anderson, Pato and Ronaldinho perhaps even Diego though his last season in Juve wasn't that great. . .
Problem however with the two defensive midfielder thing is that I think Brazil's material call for one defensive midfielder and one playmaker in defensive midfielder position, Melo, Gilberto Silva and Josué are good players all of them but the offensive material is better imo. . . also, leaving out Anderson means they left out their best playmaker from my perspective. . .

Being Portuguese I'm obviously hoping my country wins and for those who called us wankers, please don't judge us from the attitude of just one player (being the most expensive player in the world and considered the best, can you blame him for getting cocky?).
As for who's more likely to win, i'm betting either Argentina or Spain...:s
