Spain have the best squad and also strength on the bench. It would be a surprise for me if they don't win this. I'd like Holland to do well I like their players a lot (Robben, Van Persie) but they won't win it since they've had better squads in previous world cups yet they never seem to perform as a team. England are a dark horse for me and it all depends on how well their big names play.

agreed. . . still I'd say Portugal's problem is not about solely relying on one man, I mean they have people like Deco, Moutinho, Meireles, Simao and Nani, it's just that I never felt that all these brilliant players tried to perform as a team, they rely on individuality too much imo, and yes, the foremost one among these is Ronaldo but it's still not just him. . .

and there's also the problem with a striker. . . who's gonna take the role? Almeida? Ronaldo? shrugs

Christiano Ronaldo is a good player and in 2008 he was deservedly at that point the best player in the world...comeon he scored 42 goals in probably the most competitive soccer league out---The barclays premier league. He has a cocky arrogant attitude but that doesn't change the fact that he is definetly a good player and one of the best in the world CURRENTLY. if you had good looks, amazing skills in the most popular sport in the world, had a net worth of around 80 million pounds(it is pounds right) and got paid 200,000 plus dollars/pounds per week who wouldn't be a bit arrogant?? Portugal are like the dark horses basically i mean ronaldo in his best form can actually change a game around because he is more of an individual player than a team player..this being his greatest strength and also his weakness...however he will need to step up majorly which he has failed to do so in international games because portugal doesn't have a great midfield other than Deco and Nani who is alright and pretty crap strikers-- hugo almeda and simao are not that good really. They have ok defense i guess because Pepe and Carvalho are good defensive players.

The problem with Brazil this time around is that Dunga has just basically removed the very attacking foundation that has won Brazil 5 world cup titles!! Removing the likes of Ronaldino who if he can get in his good form can be devastating and Pato who is a promising young striker is just foolish. It is just stupid to include Julip Baptista who is a sub for Roma and his reason was that the only he is a sub is because Roma has totti....this is stupid....brazilian players are supposed to be the best of the best it has always been like that how can you choose a brazilian that is not good enought to be first choice in his club? He was also talking about how good form and dedication matters to him...obviously not because Alex--chelsea's defender is not included in the team--he has been in awesome form so well dunga you are useless and i hope Brazi struggles because Brazil needs to go back to its foundations and play the beautiful game. So for me it seems like Brazil is totally reliant on Kaka and the likes of Dani Alves and maicon are going to be the key if they are really going for a counter attacking strategy.

I just hope that Italy doesn't win because i hate their style of play.

No mate by ronaldinho i meant the one in Ac milan right now..the midfielder. The ac milan ronaldinho has recently been in good form. The above ronaldo is too old to play and just not good enough anymore. Still i have great respect for the above one as for me he is one of the greatest players ever!!
