Right now England are definitely out now. So I'm gonna hope that Ghana, Argentina or Brazil win the World Cup. Also there's players out there for England that just haven't performed in South Africa and this England team needs a big shake up for the European qualifiers.

Man...that goal the refs. didn't see really made the difference. If the second half started 2x2 England wouldn't go crazy like they did, and I really think they would win.

That referee is going to get a home visit after this match laugh

laugh

You might not see those referee's on a pitch again you know. When they make bad decisions like that, they're dropped.

I think it would have been a different game had it have been 2-2, but England were terrible, I'm not gonna make any excuses. We made Germany look better than what they are, but Germany still played well and punished England when they made mistakes.

And most of all? Germany played like a team. England are just a bunch on individual players on a pitch.

If Argentina win tonight though I can't see Germany beating them, unless another controversial desicion is made again laugh

@tactics

Hmm yea I see your point.

Oh well didn't make a difference at the end. Germany was just too good really. A reminder that countries need to invest in their own youth academies. Damn Germany might actually win this world cup. They were just so fluid and devastating. England definetly unlucky but still Germany played the better footbal and actually played like a team. Muiler was just brilliant, the awareness and concentration he has for such a young player is a good sight to see.

Germany deserved to win the game. They had vision, they knew what they were doing throughout the game (they got a lot of help from eng defense though). They only spazzed out for 2 minutes when they allowed england to do the only 2 things they're good at...crossing and long shots.

And sure, england will blame the ref, they'll blame Fabio (they do have basis for that, who the heck changes 3 center-backs in a WC), they'll blame the constellation of starts and who knows what. The truth is they were outplayed by a younger and more motivated team.

And it's not the first not the last regular goal being disallowed, this one was just so obvious.

Englands defence was a chain mail and germany was the stiletto. This is what it was like the whole match; it was decided by this weakness.

That disallowed goal was a disaster. If it were 2-2, then England would not have to bring up the whole team to attack, leaving the defense wide-open. A draw at that time would have England balance offense and defense. That disallowed goal made them change the whole strategy. The way Germany play is always solid; however, they aren't as flexible and lissom as the England. But I like that. Well I like England too. And again, Rooney did not do anything.

Wrong. It did make a difference. Had it have been 2-2, I seriously think it would have been a different game.

The only reason Germany scored more goals was because most of the England team were trying to get another one back, and they got them on the counter.
They wouldn't have been playing like that had it have been 2-2 is what I'm trying to say.

Although it's always difficult to say what would have happened. Who knows, maybe Germany would have teared them apart anyway laugh

Nah England need to play like a team. That's what they lack. It was nobody's single fault. It's the whole England squad themselves.
Everything went downhill from the very first game XD

I still think Walcott should have been there! I'm not even being biased either! I seriously think England needed pace, and that's what he's got. That is where I think Capello went wrong

England did not bring the whole team to attack. They did so only when on free kicks and stuff which most teams seeking to win a game would do, they left two players behind to defend which is no different than what other teams do and the fact is that the german counter attack was just too good. Even if it was 2-2 england would have still played like that because they were aiming from the beginning for the game to not result in a penalty shootout . Oh well the english supporters and the press will have their excuses. At the end of the day the scoreline was a massive 4-1, if that 2nd goal had been allowed then 4-2, still beaten by 2 goals.

Agreed though, Walcott should have been in the squad, that dudez got serious pace. Would have been brilliant in counter attacks and the England team lacked pace. Lennon out of form, SWP--don't know what he was doing, pretty useless for me.

Argentina vs Mexico, tonight. They both have an equal chance of winning I'd say.

Yes, England didn't bring everyone to attack. But if it were 2-2, it wouldn't have been 4-2 because England wouldn't leave their defense open like that. I like both Germany and England, I just happen to like the Germans a bit more, so I support them. I just feel bad for England because that goal happened twice.

I'm not blaming anyone in particular. I'm not making excuses for Englands loss or anything, I'm just saying I think it would have been a different game had that goal have been allowed.
You can't say that Germany would have won 4-2. Nobody knows what the outcome would have been. That's just being silly.

Anyway lets just face it, at the end of the day, England are rubbish laugh

lol yes England are rubbish. I feel sorry for Gerrard, felt like he put his heart and soul into the game, best england player in all 4 games for me. He really tried his best. Sad its gonna be his last world cup. Well Argentina versus mexico match starting soon hopefully Messi will start scoring now.
