facepalm I thought it couldnt get worst, but for the first time Kubo proved me wrong.
Are we seeing the another Zanpakuto training session? Ichigo doesnt love his sword, are you joking with me?
Urahara session, Bankai training, Hollow training, and the training before the final battle with Aizen were all jokes? Even Zangetsu is tired of all this.
Yeah,right.... Ichigo is a weakling.

I agree with you, this new "test" given to Ichigo is kindda BS, since for the Final Getsuga Tenshou he had to agree with Zangetsu and his hollow part, since they fuse...
However I'm still kindda confuzzled, here's why:
After getting his new powers with fullbring etc, Ichigo didn't even talk ONCE with Zangetsu + Hollow 😕
Another point, will he get another sword? I think Kubo will actually make some story about Zangetsu's "true form" when he eventually gets to "love" his sword and kaboooooooooom epic Ichigo will appear xD
Last point, Ichigo WAS quite the weakling during last fight, cause you know, he couldn't even defeat that guy whom locked him in the prision and when he gets out, his sword gets shattered in a second by one of Juha Bach's subordinates in a single page xD

Uh what about the fact that a zanpakutou.....a supposedly part of someones souls....are made? I mean how is that possible? What is Zangetsu then o_O

Maybe he can rip a soul and make multiple ones in the same way stark made the wolves. He and Lilynette were originally one soul and being but were ripped into two. Maybe this guy can do the same. He can rip a soul into multiple pieces and make multiple zanpakutous.
Also I don't mind another training arc as long as the humor continues and doesn't go on for two months. Guy's got to get stronger some how.

Well the problem i have with that explanation is how Zangetsu can exist since Ichigo never met or had anyone make his zanpakutou.

All soul reapers have one even the ones that don't have shiki's so maybe they are just forged as normal swords and level up with the user. Ichigo could have been using rukia's this whole time. It may have transferred ownership to ichigo and transformed into a sword that was at his level and not hers. When she got back they made her a new one. That or this is one of those wonderful little plot holes that Tite is hoping we have forgotten.

Well they can't really just make a new one, if that would be possible everyone could get an overpowered zanpakutou and no problem should exist in soul society.....since all enemies get cut. The reason why Ichigo could become a shinigami was because he had the capabilities to become one so the ownership transfer can't really have happened, his sword changed to his own instead of the one he got from the powers Rukia gave him since he had lost that power, every zanpakutou are supposed to be unique since they are a part of the shinigamis souls and no one alike should exist.

Having something unexplained as of yet does not equal a plot hole. People use the word way too easily these days.
A "valid" theory, until proven or stated otherwise, can be found in the topic of 521 by none other than me. It is a complete wild guess with little chance of actually being right, but as long as something like that is not actively proven wrong, there is no plot hole.
@Kaitentsuki. Actually, not yet. He just said that the girls-galore were all Zanpakutou and that he is "the number one Zanpakutou creator." This does yet prove wrong what I threw out there. I expect that it will, eventually, but not yet. It is a heavy indicator to that direction though.
By what Hikifune said, the concept of artificial souls came from her, so the creating process should not involve creating a new soul or anything like that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what kind of outlandish explanation Kubo will give us.

Well but this chapter showed that he actually made Zanpakutou, not the shell but the soul of the swords which proved your theory in the last chapter wrong. Though not much has been seen yet of the process so we shall find out with the coming chapters what is really going on.

Lets say it was transferred into Ichigo's soul when he was a child or something along those lines.
No matter what, I find the Zanpakuto love training as totally ridicuolus and out-of-a** theory. He have already trained too much with his Zangetsu....He had loved him,too....... Its just too damn lame.
Sigh~ How can the Zangestu be broken by an underling? Ichigo's sword is powerfull enough to handle the battles of hollows, captains and arrancers, but not quincy.
So I suppose by this lame acting session, we would see the new bankai of both Ichigo and Renji. Couldnt Kubo have given this lesson in Fullbring arc? I regret buying 4 volumes of Bleach, though lucky, I suppose,.. when compared with others who have full set.

Eh, that one is easy. Just thing of it as a repeat of what happened with Kenpachi back in SS.
When his heart is not in the fight, his sword becomes fragile and thus powerful opponents can then proceed to break it. At least it was Bach's second-in-command who did the breaking. I don't think Haschwald should be dismissed as "just a quincy" seeing as the Sternritter did tear a new one to pretty much anyone they met (with some variations and exceptions).

In response to the poll, no i'm not happy at all with zero squad. They are so bullshit. Comparing this to one piece (yes , one piece) training arc before the time skip, even that made more sense. The power levels are so broken, it makes dbz seem simple by comparison. At least the dialogue was funny.

I don't know what to make of it so far but the way I see it, it does help fill in some of the gaps we've been seeing in terms of abilities for some characters. For example Renji and Ichigo, despite the huge difference in age and experience what was explained of Renji and why he was so weak made absolute sense. I mean look at how he did in the Aizen saga, he was ridiculed by the Espada horrendously, even though he was one of the first dudes there to help Ichigo.
From what it looks like in terms of what is happening I thing everyone who was taken in by the Zero Squad is being broken down and rebuilt. So I don't think that Zangetsu and Zabimaru are really destroyed as in their old shells are. When you think about the first 2 palaces their bodies and Reiatsu were drained and reformed constantly, so that in itself should have effected the Zanpaktous of everyone involved so far. Meaning its not a matter of what was said about "loving your Zanpaktou, ect." but about reforming what was already damaged.
Yeah, indeed. In the beginning iirc it was said that fixing the broken zanpakuto was impossible. What they will be doing now is reforming it. The shell, i mean. Since we have alread seen Ichigo's fight with Zangetsu, this time it probably will be something else, but despite of that i can't think of anything other than a re-fight with Zangetsu. Probably he will be taught how to retain shinigami powers after using the true getsuga form. But again, these are just my speculations. What I think is that currently both Ichigo and Renji and later Byakuya too, are just undergoing the preliminary healing sessions, their actual training hasn't begun just yet. Probably when they are completely healed and ready for the training, they will meet the soul king who would then command to advance to the real training which will again be given by the zero squad.
Many possibilities at this junction and a huge amount of story and reconnection still left. I just hope Kubo does it well.
